Overview

"You can never tell an interesting story that involves ordering a salad." would in most cases be more an odd statement that is thrown around and mostly forgotten. However, in this case, it's just plain wrong. What is the worst that could happen when you have lunch with a friend and order such a simple dish? Some unpleasant events actually.

All she wanted to do was spend her day in her pajamas and binge watch some TV. Her friend, Florence, decides they should get wings or a salad, and that is just what they do. But when Florence gets up to use the bathroom and later found tied up in an alley, things go from strange to bad to worse. An alien obsessed with stuffing them and with powers unmatched by this girl's pocketknife, she must be cunning if she wants to make it back home. And maybe along the way prove an odd saying wrong.

About the Author

SR Brown was born with a pen and paper in their hands and has been writing since their mother recovered from such a strange labor. They live in a small town in Wisconsin and enjoys time with two mutts from the shelter while listening to the sounds of nature and ghosts that let bugs in the house. Brown has traveled the world, crawled to the depths of the earth, spent time climbing mountains of written works as nonfiction editor for Sheepshead Review—their college literary journal—all for character study. When not writing, there is a long list of shows and books they need to digest for research, sections of the town to explore in case they haven’t yet found their quest to be a chosen one, or looking at memes online.
