When Mr. Oliver unexpectedly finds himself entrusted with the care of his granddaughter Dolly, young Tony, a London street sweeper jumps at the chance to help. Tony is an orphan who has been living wherever he can, Mr. Oliver gives him a place to sleep under a counter in his tiny shop, Tony loves spending time with Dolly and listening to Mr. Oliver tell of his Master, the Lord Jesus. When Mr. Oliver's sister comes to visit, she is appalled that her grandniece is associating with a barefoot beggar, and sends Tony away, and he is "Alone in London" again. We follow his fortunes, and see the workings of his heart, all in the care of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I hope you enjoy this book. When I first started reading books on my Nook Library I noticed that there are many free classics available. However the formatting is terrible and some are unreadable because of errors in the text. Therefore, I decided to start publishing quality classics that included chapter breaks, table of contents, linked chapters, and illustrations when available. Keep your eye out for inspirational stories from us, EirenikosPress.
