American Landscapes

Overview

Having looked over the hundreds of pages of poems I had written between 1984 and 1997, I discovered that the most memorable poetry had a strong, visual image of a specific landscape or environment. From there the poetry evolved into a memory of a person, relationship or simply a feeling about that moment in time and I think that for anyone with a sense of adventure or a desire to see beyond where they are now, these poems become a necessity or at the very least an enjoyable “trip” through some of America’s most beautiful country. Here in contains eighteen poems that describe American life near the ocean, in the mountains and everywhere else in between. I hope you enjoy them.

I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, having also lived in Seaside and Portland, Oregon while attending Portland State University. I graduated from PSU in 1995 with a bachelor degree in Computer Science. I now live in Taipei, Taiwan with my wife and son.
