She was a civic leader, serving as Chair of the Buffalo Arts Commission and of the Wilson College Board of Trustees; as President of the Garret Club in Buffalo, and as Companion-in-Charge of the Society of the Companions of the Holly Cross. She also served as a Board Member of the Buffalo Museum of Science, the New York State Museum Institute and the Seagle Music Colony, and she was a member of the Vestry of Trinity Church Buffalo. She received her BA from Wilson College and her MA from SUNY Buffalo."
