Purpose: The authors emphasize the importance of knowing anatomy and the exact location of the structural components of this complex area. Without this crucial understanding, surgeons will be ill equipped to succeed in their surgical interventions.
Audience: The authors intend this book for plastic surgeons and surgeons in related disciplines, such as otolaryngology.
Features: The 21 chapters cover the structures of the head and neck, excluding the inner contents of the cranial vault and the brain. There are MRI images and occasional intraoperative views. The color plates are precise and didactic, enabling readers to grasp the essence of the structures. Accompanying the splendid color plates are descriptions of soft-tissue, bone, vascular, and nerve structures.
