Zander Corvus is a hero from the Milky Way Galaxy that suddenly finds himself stuck in the middle of a galactic power struggle in the Andromeda Galaxy. During this turmoil, he continues his search for the truth of his origin, and the past he can't remember. Along with his friends, Paul (a roughneck geneticist & Captain of the Ascension), Lee (resident astrophysicist human, looking for love in all the wrong places), and their newest crew member, Vranaie (a member of a mythical species from Earth's ancient past), Zander & the rest of the crew of the Ascension learn that other mythical Earth creatures are also present in the Andromeda Galaxy & they all need the help of true heroes.
Is the Ascension the bastion of heroes they've been waiting for? Will Zander finally find his answers in another galaxy? Will Paul grow beyond a trigger-happy, violence-hungry sociopath? Will Lee find love in another galaxy? Can the evil Black Angel Legion be overcome, and will they even truly survive this ordeal?
