Overview

Apartment Life, Ivy's second album, is an impressive leap forward for the trio, finding them consolidating their strengths while moving into new territory. Ivy has a lush sound that is derived equally from ethereal indie pop and classic '60s pop. Dominique Durand's voice is alternately haunting and beautiful, giving the songs an otherworldly quality, while Adam Schlesinger and Andy Chase's rhythm section keeps the music pinned down to earth.
