Fascinating examples of behaviors such as kangaroo cooling strategies and the swimming techniques of armadillos provide engaging details in ways that readers will remember. Most photographs are a full page or larger and successfully depict highlighted features, behaviors, or species varieties. Additional visual support includes a distribution map, size comparisons, a full-page photo with key body parts labeled, and a family tree showing related species.
