Around the World
About the Book - Around the World, was at some point just an idea tossed around through a phone line by Chuck a dear friend of mine, but it definitely evolved into a reality quickly. As we acknowledged the fact that the progress of technology has connected us in a profound way. We sought to use technology to connect us much more socially. In a time that really needed such a thing to do that as there was much divide being publicized. What better way than a book? Presenting authors asking the reader to give a little compassion and understanding to issues faced by us as humans. As writers we saw no better way than through the historic art known as poetry. But that wasn't the only part! With the help of another dear friend Elise. We were able to create a team searching out poets through social media(s) around the world! These countries would include Angola, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, England, Ethiopia, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Malaysia, Namibia, Nigeria, Oman, Philippines, Rwanda, South Africa, and the United States. If this book can serve any purpose to society it will be in three major aspects. One, we are struggling together. Two, we are much more similar than we are lead to believe through the media. Three, no matter how diverse we may be on the outside. The heart and soul of humanity beats and aches for a common peace and love for all of humanity as a majority. That alone should at least give a reason to open the cover of this book, because you aren't just experiencing a single person's viewpoint, but a variety of people's viewpoints. Allow the brilliant words of these authors to flow from the page through your eyes and to the heart that pumps the humanity into you. About the Author – As a person I enjoy art, education, and simple interaction with life. As a scholar history and philosophy grab my attention. It is these fields in particular that give the most information to help us as human understand just who we are, and just what we are capable of if we come together. Around the World isn't my first published book, but second after Heart & Soul: Symbiosis. This book's cover illustration was also completed by Elise Gray, so please take a look at her awesome work! If you haven't noticed by now. I'm not a person that can do things alone, and I require the aid of those around me to complete awesome things such as these. I'm not afraid to admit that as there are greater things to come together than alone. There can be no shame in that fact!

About the Author

Currently I'm a student attending Sam Houston State University as a Philosophy Major and History/Middle Eastern Study Minor. During my studies and experiences through life. There came a point in time where I decided to focus on enlightening myself about the world around me. This enlightenment came in the form of books. Believe it or not I didn't give much attention to them prior in my educational career, but the interest blossomed as each professor kept referring certain titles.

Eventually leading me down the thought process that books are powerful tools. They are able to expand and shape our view in ways unimaginable. I wanted to do just that with people around. Do what those professors through my educational career did for me. How would I achieve such a thing? Simple. Writing. That is why I write and why I will continue to write, because history shows someone will pick up a book. And if my book is among those that are picked up. I have a chance to spread a bit of wisdom and compassion to the individual that reads it. I have chosen poetry to be the format of such an effort. As it is an art meant to speak with not just the emotions of a person, but the mind of the person as well.
So, when you read anything from me keep that message in mind. Because that is my aim. That is the goal I've given myself.
