About the Author

Rick Lampkin is a retired Store Director for Hy-Vee, Inc. of West Des Moines, IA. He was employed by Hy-Vee for over 34 years beginning in 1966 at Hy-Vee in his hometown of Washington, IA.
During his long career, Rick worked at eight different stores for the Grocery Company. He was a successful Store Manager/Director for Hy-Vee at three locations in Ottumwa, IA, Pleasant Hill, IA and Moline, IL.
While serving as the Store Manager/Director at Pleasant Hill, IA, Rick served a coveted one-year elected position on the Hy-Vee’s Board of Directors.
A 1973 Graduate of now Truman State University at Kirksville, MO, Rick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University.
Rick and his wife, Jane, reside in Fort Myers, FL and also spend time with family in Moline, IL. The couple are parents to three married children with spouses and four grandchildren.
