Overview

Lacey Jenkins lives a comfortable life in her small town in Alaska. With her mom, her cat, and no real friends, she feels content with thinking that her life is doomed to be nothing but average. When her mom's new job forces them out of Alaska and into Los Angeles her junior year of high school, Lacey feels that it could be a new start for her. She wants to make a new life for herself and she only has one goal, to become one of the popular girls in school. When she acts as a spy and befriends a group of nerds for the most popular girl in school, she begins to realize what she's really in for. She learns the truth about herself, what it means to be popular, and what true friendship is all about.
