About the Author

Rudrangshu Mukherjee was educated at Presidency College, Calcutta; Jawarharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; and St Edmund Hall, Oxford. He has taught at Calcutta Universityand held visiting appointments at Princeton University, Manchester Universityand the Universityof California, Santa Cruz.
