Dr. Rajub Bhowmik is an Adjunct Associate Professor of Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice in the Department of Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice Administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice of the City University of New York and an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at St. Elizabeth University. Rajub is celebrated for writing over 500 sonnets covering a spectrum of themes such as politics, love, philosophy, the afterlife, and nature. He has written over 20 books in multiple languages and created three new types of Sonnets in Bangla (Ayna Sonnet, Tautogram Sonnet, and Tritiomatra Sonnet). Rajub created the genre of Ayna Sangeet, or Mirror Music, and pioneered the Ayna Sonnets, a unique form of poetry. These sonnets are composed of 14 lines, each with 14 letters, and can be read forward and backward, showcasing Rajub's creative ingenuity.
