A delightful adventure, when a lady is desperate to snag a husband and a rake is determined to stay out of the parson's trap!

Well written characters, each attracted to the other, although their first meeting did not go as well as she would have liked! Then they meet again a few months later in Brighton, when Prinny and his entourage is visiting and the two are thrown together.

Sydney always writes stories that capture my imagination. Prepare to be thoroughly entertained!

Along the way, Glynnis totally compromises herself by being a woman traveling alone , with no maid or chaperone. The book is more of a fantasy than anything, but it's cute and fun, if you can get past Glynnis' poor character, lies, and ever more awful decisions.

I enjoyed the wonderful world building of the book when the characters are in Brighton. Great descriptions of the town, the beach, Prinny's palace there, etc, were all outstanding.

I love Ms. Baily's use of language. Every time I read one of her books, I learn new words. It adds an authentic feeling to her stories. I also enjoyed that this book takes place in Brighton and that Prinny has a large presence in the story. Plus, I really believed Glynnis and James' attraction to one another and enjoyed their banter.
