About the Author

33-year-old German, was born and raised in East Germany, but moved to Lake Constance when she was fifteen. After her A-levels, she decided to embark on an incredible adventure and become an Au Pair in London from 2009-2010. Upon returning home, she then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Management, while also learning Chinese and spending six months in Suzhou, China. After completing her bachelors, Annika then temporarily moved back to London to pursue a career in Digital Marketing and continued her job back in Germany from 2014-2021. It was during this time that she met her now-husband, Tom, who is Puerto Rican, and his cat Mickey, who is from the Azores, in Ramstein, Germany, where he was stationed with the military. After the two married in 2019, they welcomed their son Andrew in January 2022. Annika and her family moved to Puerto Rico not too long after Andrew was born to be closer to Tom's family. As a family, Annika and her husband love to explore, travel and eat good food, a passion which they are sure to instill in Andrew.

34-year-old Puerto Rican who has had a very varied life since joining the U.S. Air Force back in 2013. His life in the service has taken him to the Azores for 11 months, where he adopted a cat named Mickey. After his time in the Azores, Tom was stationed in Germany, and it was here that he met his wife Annika in 2016. In January of 2022, Tom and Annika welcomed a son named Andrew into the world and, shortly after, the couple decided to move back to Tom's native Puerto Rico to be closer to his family. When he is not busy with work, Tom is an avid reader and gamer, fueling his curiosity and hunger for knowledge. He also loves to eat good food and spend time with his family. In his spare time, Tom works out to stay fit and healthy.

Magdalena's style is the result of my love for classical art and digital media. I always strive to find a way to make my artwork entertaining for both kids and parents. I'm also a mom of Maria, who is my biggest inspiration and the reason I'm constantly trying to do better with every new opportunity I get.
