Overview

Noah and his best friend Baxter Bu, Bu for short, are the world’s best friends and do absolutely everything together, including skateboarding. They are like 2 peas in a pod, until Noah leaves Bu behind in the treehouse every day as Noah starts surfing with some local surfers. Bu is feeling left out and inadequate and is willing to do whatever it takes to get his best friend back, even if it means learning to surf on his own. On his quest to learn how to surf, Bu meets interesting characters along the beach that get him to believe he has no luck at all coming his way. All of that changes after Bu literally gets some sense knocked into him. At the end of the day Bu realizes what friendship and self acceptance are all about and at the same time learns how to hang ten.

About the Author

BIO Born and raised in Bakersfield, CA, Shaun Sturz moved to Los Angeles after receiving his BA in Studio Arts from Westmont College. He is best known for his role on “Beverly Hills Nannies” on ABC Family. Shaun started his celebrity Manny career for saxophonist and Grammy winner, Kenny G’s family. Shorty after, Shaun was asked by Brooke Burke of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” to be a blogger for her popular mommy site, Modernmom.com. He gave advice and shared fun stories from his perspective as a male nanny. Los Angeles Magazine noted him as the top Manny in Beverly Hills. During these years as a Manny, Shaun realized that he could put his artistic talents to work and thus decided to write and illustrate his first children’s book, “Baxter Bu”. This book is appropriately titled after Kenny G’s lovable family dog.
