About the Author

Mary Helen Childress is a native of Butler County, Alabama. The mother of three boys, Rory, Mark and Alan, and the wife of Roy Childress, Mary Helen is a graduate of Ball State University and worked for many years for the Alabama Department of Human Resources.

Mark Childress is the author of seven novels: "A World Made of Fire," "V for Victor," "Tender," "Crazy in Alabama," "Gone for Good," "One Mississippi," and "Georgia Bottoms."
