About the Author

Han Yu studied bead embroidery at the embroidery school of Ecole Lesage, part of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art, and the Royal School of Needlework in the U.K. She then founded Gracey Han Bead Embroidery Studio, designing and producing haute couture garments for Shanghai Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, and for celebrities. She has long been dedicated to disseminating the art of bead embroidery by giving lectures to university students and teaching at embroidery workshops across China. She is the author of Bead Embroidery Chinese Style. Wang Yuxi, a university teacher whose main research field is clothing design and engineering, currently works as a designer at the Gracey Han Bead Embroidery Studio. She is proficient in traditional Chinese embroidery, French embroidery, and flower-making techniques. She has produced haute couture garments for many brands as well as for Shanghai Fashion Week, Guangzhou Fashion Week, and participated in the production of the book Bead Embroidery Chinese Style.
