About the Author

Joy Caldwell is a native Philadelphian who spent her childhood in the city's thriving North End. She has five children together: four boys and a girl, ranging in age from 16 to 23, with her fiancé, James Martin. She had a brief stint in the dental field in 2018. She later realized she did not have the stomach for that line of work. She applied to F.M.A. PROFESSIONAL SOLUTIONS and was hired as a temporary teacher's aide at the APM Rivera Head Start program in North Philadelphia. From August 2019 to March 2020, she worked there. She was given a promotion to Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) in March 2020 due to her education and expertise. As a result, the Pandemic occurred, and Joy tragically caught Covid. By God's grace, she was able to overcome covid. Joy plans to switch careers in the near future and is currently enrolled in a Computer Technology Program to earn the necessary qualifications.
