Overview

It's delicious fun watching Teddy mess up.

Running a pub! What was he thinking? Teddy now realizes that when it isn't fun, it's aggravating. His colorful, sometimes bizarre or frightening customers could end up either entertaining or tormenting him; it was hard to predict which.

He sits with a friend in the wee hours inventing ways to get even with the worst of them. Revenge seems like a good way forward.

These darkly humorous connected stories reveal how he navigates hilarious situations and copes with his unhinged customers. You'll laugh out loud at his musings and misadventures in these fast-paced tales. Grab a beer and take a seat in one of his rough-cut pine booths as the action unfolds. No guarantee against splinters.

About the Author

Jack Blindt was born in Newark, New Jersey, and grew up in nearby Millburn and Springfield. In 1969 he graduated from Missouri Valley College. He worked for several years as a social worker in Newark. After attempting grad school in Virginia, he took a social work job in Culpeper, Virginia.

He risked it all for the opportunity to become self-employed. He spent the next six years of his life (’77 – ’83) running a pub in rural New Hampshire. His experiences during those years inspired the stories in Beer Tap Tales.

In 1983, Jack moved to Elizabeth City, North Carolina where he opened Betsy Tooley’s Deli. Five years later he opened The Sandwich Market and left bartending behind forever.

He retired in 2016 and lives in sunny Florida with his wife, Anne, and son, Casey. He is writing new stories inspired by his thirty years of running businesses in North Carolina.
