The saltwater (saline) placebo doesn't usually produce flu symptoms.
Injectees getting flu symptoms could figure out they likely got the drug.
Injectees not getting flu symptoms could figure out they likely got saltwater.
Thus, the participant side of double-blind failed quickly.
Required daily symptom reports enabled doctors, nurses, and staff to figure out who likely got the drug and who didn't.
Double-blind provider side also failed quickly.
Drug experiments are double-blind to rule-out competing explanations for results.
Double-blind failures introduce new participant and provider behaviors that become competing explanations for results.
These competing explanations prevent any causal statements about drug effectiveness.
Claiming a drug prevents a disease requires scientists to rule out competing explanations before making a causal statement like "our drug prevented ovid disease".
Both companies failed to do so here.
The unavoidable conclusion is that both experiments hopelessly confounded dozens of competing explanations by using saline as the placebo, which caused major double-blind failures.
That makes the 94-5% drug effectiveness claims scientifically invalid.
Simply put, Pfizer, BioNTech, and Moderna failed to present solid scientific evidence that either drug is effective--for anything, because both Phase 3 trials were obvious double-blind failures.
The burden of proof for mass injections of this new class of genetic drugs, using messenger RNA, is understandably high.
