About the Author

Steve Mirsky is an avid outdoorsman who has lived in New England for most of his life. He's hiked New Hampshire's Mount Washington in the winter, portions of the Long Trail in Vermont, and many a bend, overlook, and rock outcropping on trails throughout his home state of Connecticut. Steve has a special fondness for the Boston metropolitan area's diverse terrain and rich historical character.

James Buchanan is a journalist, writing coach, and outdoors writer living in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire with his family. He has worked for the Forest Service and traveled extensively throughout the United States.
