CHAPTER 1

Our sun straight above shines God's life-giving rays for all of the plants to raise petals in praise.

While Katt Cat was purring his favorite song, he wondered where all of the shadows had gone.

"I just must find a place now to cool my hot paws. Tell me, who can clean fur when it's burning their jaws?"

Katt searched the whole ranch for a place he could hide. Lucas' lair was inviting, but his ears were too wide.

"This heat is so hot I'm afraid I might faint! The barn's boarded up and the porch has wet paint."

Katt ran to the lake thinking maybe he'd swim till finding the water was too wet for him.

Bonnie rounded the lake on her afternoon lap, while Tanya and Fish were both taking a nap.

An incredible sight ashore caught Bonnie's eyes, when Katt sprang from the lake, causing quite a surprise.
