(2 for 1) Report - Do Most Fights go to the Ground? + MUSCLE -The Beginning (Short Story) {BJJ, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Submission Grappling}
If you are a grappler, a martial artist, street fighter or even just a fan of Mixed Martial Arts you've heard the phrase "95 percent of fights go to the ground."

But is it true?

Undoubtedly, grappling is excellent way to end a physical altercation in a one-on-one setting with no weapons and other people involved (that's asking a lot). But is it a guarantee that most fights will end up in a grappler's domain?

This 6000 word report and public response provides the findings Bakari Akil II, Ph.D., uncovered when seeking an answer to these questions. Using content analysis as the major methodology, the author followed the principles outlined in the Scientific Method and analyzed over 300 fights. The answers he found were shocking and changed the way he and many others who have read the report thought about fighting (either standing or on the ground).

Find out:

- A certain technique that was almost useless in most fights

- Who you would most likely be involved with in a fight

- What to do if you can't avoid a fight

- The best ways to avoid trouble

- What happens after a person hits the ground

- What body feature will almost certainly result in you getting tossed around and pummeled

This report also includes some of the general public's response to this study as well.

***Praise for the study***

"Love the academic approach to studying this and when people bring intelligence to the subject of MMA and grappling." - Sterling O.

"Really interesting…and it’s nice to see some good research into a stat that has bothered me for many years as my article on the subject states. Thanks very much!" - Chris L.

Word Count - 9000 words total - 6000 words (Report and Public Response)/3000 words MUSCLE - The Beginning

Disclosure: Akil acknowledges that this was an Exploratory Study, let's repeat, an Exploratory Study and that more research should be conducted. He has practiced Judo, no-gi Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and BJJ with the gi for 8 years. He has also boxed and been involved in the martial arts for almost 30 years.
