About the Author

Lorie Long has been raising and training purebred dogs for more than 25 years. A member of the Dog Writers Association of America (DWAA), she has written The Siberian Husky and also has written extensively for the Whole Dog Journal. She has been published in Dog World magazine and Chesapeake Bay Magazine. Lorie lives in Union Hall, Virginia, with her Border Terriers and teaches training classes.
