Borrowed Robes
The young Lady Oona understands her value as the only heir in the line of Alba's High Kings, but she hasn't come to realize her worth as a descendant of Hecate, the ancient goddess of witchcraft.

That is until her father arranges her marriage to the cruel Earl Gille, to produce the son who will take back the throne that was stolen from his line.

Oona knows an heir with Gille means her downfall, and the destruction of her magic. So she conjures up the goddess of witchcraft to arm her with the potency that can save her. When she exerts her newfound power on her wedding night, she isn't exactly sure how to wield the ancient force, and reveals more than she should.

Now salvation from her cruel husband and the restoration of the throne rest on Oona, and she hatches a plan. She will persuade Gille's cousin, Macbeth, to kill him for her because the young soldier has shown her favor in the past. Hecate may pull the strings of magic, but Oona works her charms to weave Macbeth's destiny with hers, and convince him to take back her throne.
