Mary, an eighteen year old girl, is soon to be married. But life does not get to be that easy. True, she is marrying for love, but the American Revolution has commenced, the Declaration written, and all men and boys longing to go to fight for their new country, including Will, her soon to be husband are engulfed in it. And, not only does Will want to leave, her brother has unceremoniously announced he will be fighting as well.
