Bride of the Harvest Wolf: Episode Two

Be careful what you wish for, because magic is always two parts wondrous, one part cruel.
Book 2 of 9 in the Bride of the Harvest Wolf series

The Spirit Guardians have just granted reckless wild-child Sienna Kendrick the secret desire of her heart—an adventure outside the town walls of Zurent. There’s just one catch; they’ve also selected her as the thirty-sixth bride of the Harvest Wolf. A role some regard as an honor, and others a death sentence. Now this plucky hunter’s daughter will have to undertake a journey into the woods, where nightmares she has spent cycles trying to forget prowl the dark shadows.

The selection has been made, the journey through the woods has begun, but will Sienna even make it to the Palace of Eternal Autumn alive?

*** Includes special bonus features: maps & location illustrations, pronunciation guide, story world glossary, illustrated story world calendar! ***

Bride of the Harvest Wolf: Episode Two is approximately 36,000 words long and is the second of 9 novellas in this imaginative, coming of age romance series where shapeshifter deities, magic, and mythology collide.

Interview with the Author
Q - So, what makes the Bride of the Harvest Wolf series special?

A - Well for one, the series is a young adult shifter bride romance featuring a strong female protagonist, and an Indigenous (Native) male protagonist who is also a shapeshifter wolf deity. It’s a be-careful-what-you-wish-for story about two characters who both long to leave their homes and explore the greater world, and who suffer disastrous consequences as a result of their desires. But mostly this shapeshifter series is different because it combines fairytales such as Beauty and the Beast, and Red Riding Hood, with mythology and folk tales from around the world, and weaves them into a narrative that is both familiar and yet part of a completely new fantasy world.

Q - So, why should readers give this series a try?
A - If you’re looking for something a bit different with diverse protagonists, original mythology and fantasy world building, and a romantic adventure, than this young adult coming of age fantasy is the shifter romance series you’ve been looking for.

And thanks for reading!

About the Author

Kat Vancil grew up in the heart of Silicon Valley where she amused herself by telling stories to anyone around her--her family, her friends...random strangers. Eventually she actually started writing those stories down instead of just spending hours hanging out in fake Ikea living rooms and telling her friends about them. Somewhere amongst all the character-torturing and epic explosions she managed to get a BFA in Illustration from the Academy of Art University and open a graphics studio (Multi-tasking for the win!).

Kat still lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, two very crazy studio cats, and nine overfull bookcases. And when not running amuck in the imaginary worlds within her head, Kat can usually be found frolicking in her general geekiness.
