Overview

Bright's 1996 self-titled debut album mixes a deep fondness for Sonic Youth's quiet, expansive moments and the group's own dreamy, poppy sensibilities. Though the results are somewhat derivative, they're also enjoyable and well-crafted; songs like "Enthusiasm" and "Point" balance song structure and improvisation with just enough dynamic tension to keep things interesting.
