Burdened by his past, Matias Martinez embarks on a major road trip to track down his estranged father, hoping to find closure through the long-awaited confrontation. Under the guise of attending a FanCon in Reno, NV, Matias enlists the help of his not-quite-a-friend-not-quite-an-enemy Kassian Kieu to get him where he needs to be, along the way gaining companions in Kassian's two friends, Emery and Zander.
