Siggy J. Aleksov has had her world turned upside down. She had a job, a home, and a solitary life-no friends, no family, no pets-just the way she liked it.
Now she has no job, no home, an extended family-some of whom are in the Underworld, others of whom are bears-and a camper filled to bursting with people who call her friend.
Oh, and she has a boyfriend...sort of. Maybe. It's complicated.
Before Siggy has time to sit down with a cup of coffee and think about the mess her life has become, she finds herself the target of poachers who traffic in magical animals (or at least their body parts), a consortium of mages who wish to register and study her, and a pissed-off sparklepunk Faerie assassin bent on throttling her alleged little brother.
The world, it seems, is determined to nail Siggy's hide to the wall...
