About the Author

Vero was born in Antwerp and spent most of her childhood in a small town just down the road from the magical site of Villers-la-Ville. She now lives in Alexandria, VA but continues to live with one foot in both countries (she has very long legs). She travels to Belgium as often as possible with her husband John and three boys.
A native Virginian, Paige has enjoyed a long love affair with the Lower Countries. She studied in Amsterdam after law school and has returned to that part of the world many times since, with and without her husband and two daughters.
Together, we created All Over the Map in 2011. We strongly believe that every trip is an adventure and every child an explorer. We hope this book helps you plan and enjoy your family adventure to Brussels, a city we hold close to our hearts.
When Sharon approached us a few months ago to offer to create a comic book for children traveling to Brussels, we had to pinch ourselves. She is one of the most talented graphic novelists we know, blending graphic style and her wicked sense of humor while managing to impart heaps of information. Thank you Sharon. You rock!
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the kick-ass team at VisitBrussels for their support and hospitality during our two-week research trip. Thanks also to VisitFlanders for arranging our trips to Ghent, Bruges, and Antwerp.
