Overview

Buckshot was the mount chosen by Theodore Roosevelt. At the time, Teddy Roosevelt had resigned his commission as under secretary of the Navy to become a lieutenant colonel with the first United States volunteer cavalry. You may have studied about these men. If not, you will probably study about them before you get out of school.
Buckshot had many adventures with Teddy Roosevelt and his men. They were called the Rough Riders.
