Overview

Now, in Buildings of the United States, a monumental project commissioned by the Society of Architectural Historians, we have the first state-by-state survey of American architecture reflecting the geographic, climatic, and cultural diversity of the country. Profusely illustrated, these outstanding guidebooks offer detailed maps that lead tourists to diverse architectural sites, while accompanying photographs and narrative descriptions allow for quick and in-depth indentification. Recording the works of national and international masters of American architecture, as well as masterpieces wrought by unknown hands, Buildings of the United States is the perfect companion for tourists interested in our architectural heritage.
