Burn Baby Burn: A Supervillain Novel
Sundancer is a militant radical who channels the heat and light of the sun, capable of melting steel and vaporizing anyone who stands in her way. Pit Geek is seemingly immortal, able to survive any injury, but haunted by fragmented memories. Together, these supervillains launch a crime spree bold enough to threaten the world's economy. To stop them, the government authorizes a new band of superheroes known as the Covenant to hunt down the menaces. Sundancer and Pit must learn to rely on one another as never before if they're to escape the heroes that hound them. When they finally run out of places to hide, can mankind survive the conflagration when Sundancer unleashes the full force of her solar powers?

"Burn Baby Burn has an incredibly high cool things per page quotient. Maxey crams more fresh ideas in a chapter than most books have altogether. That plus kick-ass action scenes and I found it hard to put down."--Maya Lassiter, author of Toby Streams the Universe"The most genuine fun I've had with a superhero story since watching The Incredibles."--Lon Prater, author of Roads Like These

About the Author

James Maxey lives in Hillsborough, NC with his wife Cheryl and a clowder of unruly cats. A lifetime of reading comic books has diminished his mental capacity to the point that he spends all his waking moments trapped in violent daydreams about colorfully clad superhumans and large man-eating, fire-breathing reptiles. Unsuited for productive work or the company of decent people, James ekes out a living by punching the keys of a steam-powered typewriter at random day in, day out. Occasionally, these meaningless streams of letters arrange themselves into something resembling stories, which he fleeces without remorse to the depraved subset of humanity known as 'readers.' If you are the sort of person who can't help but stare at car crashes, you can read more about James by visiting his blog at dragonprophet.blogspot.com.
