About the Author

Erin A. Olsen has been writing and photographing since she was a child. She was typing submissions on a manual typewriter by the time she was in junior high and was probably one of the few teenagers with her own darkroom. She is a recognized subject matter expert and sought after presenter in the technology world, but enjoys using her creative talents to describe and photograph the natural world.

Early in her adult life, Erin lost her vision to diabetic retinopathy. More recently she has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Erin doesn't let those things become barriers. Instead, she uses them to experience the world in a different way, one that many don't slow down long enough to fully appreciate. She captures that unique vision in her words and her images, often exposing the detail and perspective others overlook. Erin continues to capture and convey interesting things in ordinary places.
