About the Author

Sylvia Thorson-Smith is retired from Grinnell College where she taught sociology, religious studies, and gender/women's studies. She is the author of Reconciling the Broken Silence: The Church in Dialogue on Gay and Lesbian Issues and Pornography: Far from the Song of Songs. She is an active Presbyterian and crusader for gender and sexual justice.

Johanna W. H. van Wijk-Bos is Dora Pierce Professor of Bible and Professor of Old Testament at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Her publications include Reformed and Feminist and Reimagining God, both published by WJK.

Norm Pott is a former pastor of First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael in San Rafael, Califonia.

William E. Thompson was a leader in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) who served as Stated Clerk of the General Assembly.
