About the Author

Cecile Huchard est maitre de conferences en litterature française du XVI siecle a l'universite de Lorraine. Elle travaille sur l'ecriture de l'histoire et sur les controverses politico-religieuses des guerres de Religion, et a notamment publie D'Encre et de sang. Simon Goulart et la Saint-Barthelemy (Paris, 2007), ouvrage issu de sa these de doctorat dirigee par Gilbert Schrenck. Jean-Claude Ternaux est professeur de litterature du XVI siecle a l'universite d'Avignon. Il est l'auteur d'une these intitulee Lucain et la litterature de l'age baroque . Il travaille sur les rapports entre la tragedie et l'epopee et, d'une facon generale, sur le theatre humaniste. Il a edite des tragedies de Jodelle et de Garnier.
