Capitalism, consumption and happiness.
Synopsis

This book is about the capitalist system and how its political, economic and ideological issues can affect the life and mood of a person and a society. The objective here is to reflect on happiness and consumption, through the in-depth thinking of some authors who reflected the human condition in the capitalist system. I can safely say that no concept has aroused more curiosity in human beings than the concept of happiness. At different times in history, and in different ways, human beings have always desired happiness. For some philosophers, everything we do in life has the main objective of being happy and, without this motivation, human beings cannot survive.
If you are going to start reading this book believing that you will find all the answers to a happy life: I am sorry to inform you that this will not happen. The subjects discussed here will have an open ending, as there is no ready-made formula for finding happiness. If you are looking for a ready-made formula, I recommend self-help books that are full of false formulas on how to be happy, how to be a millionaire, among other nonsense to deceive people desperate for easy answers. The sole objective of this book is to make you acquire more self-knowledge, as only you will know how to find happiness, being certain that the path to finding this feeling will be full of challenges, disappointments, losses and pain.
