Overview

Harvey Cheyne es un niño rico de diez años que se aprovecha de su condición en el colegio en el que estudia. Suspendido por tratar de sobornar con dinero a un profesor para que le pusiera un examen más fácil, viaja hacia Londres junto a su padre, más preocupado de sus negocios que de su hijo.

En el barco en el que viajan, Harvey cae accidentalmente al mar y es recogido por el pescador portugués Manuel Fidello, que lo lleva a la goleta We're Here, capitaneada por el viejo lobo de mar Disko Troop. Allí debe pasar los tres siguientes meses hasta que el pesquero regrese a puerto.

In 1907, at the age of 42, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
