Ms. Simonds work has previously appeared in various literary magazines. A graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County literature program, she received high honors for her fiction writing. A short story, written by Ms. Simonds in the style of a reminiscence, appears in the July 2000 issue of Down East Magazine.
