Chapter One
Noah opened the window and sent out a raven to find dry land. The raven flew around and came back to the ark because it didn't find any. Then Noah sent out a dove. The dove came back, too. Noah waited seven days, and then he sent out another dove. The dove returned with an olive leaf in its beak!
"The land is almost dry!" Noah said.
God said, "You all may leave the ark now."
Noah and his family left the ark. Right away Noah built an altar so he could thank God and praise him. "Thank you, God, for saving us."
God was pleased with Noah and all he had done. "Never again will I destroy people and animals with a flood," he said. "As a sign of my promise, I will give you a rainbow. Go and enjoy this new world."
God's Blessing
God saved Noah and the animals from the flood
Faith to Grow
Noah never questioned God. He obeyed God. Noah trusted God to take care of him. God provided a second chance for people and for the animals, too.
Prayer
Thank you for showing your mercy on Noah and the animals, Lord, and to us still today. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
