About the Author

David Brancaleone is Lecturer in the Limerick School of Art and Design, Limerick Institute of Technology, Republic of Ireland, where he teaches a lecture series in 20th-century art and seminars in art history, film history, and film theory. He earned his doctorate at the Warburg Institute, University of London, UK in 2002. He has published a book-length translation of a Renaissance text and articles on art, film, and the commodification of education. He is also an independent filmmaker.
