Overview

In 2003, the world-renowned author, harmonics pioneer, and authority in the field of sound healing was asked to create music for the opening of Spirit New York, the acclaimed holistic night club in Manhattan. The mission was to create dance music with electronic beats (for the body) with specific tones, frequencies and mantras (to balance the mind and spirit). Working with electronic artist and engineer Chris Allen, Goldman blends ancient and sacred sounds with futuristic psycho-acoustic recording techniques to create a powerful, throbbing, and hypnotic experience. Before allowing the music -- which includes Sanskrit mantras, kabalistic vowels, Pythagorean tuning forks, and Tibetan chanting and bowls -- to wash the soul clean, the listener is advised to check out the fascinating liner notes which explain the meaning of "chakra" and where the seven chakras reside on the body. Designed as a techno journey through the chakras, this hour-long collection of (naturally) seven tracks is best experienced as a single listen by someone in the mood to totally relax and let go. ~ Jonathan Widran
