Overview

The book's first edition, this is the second published by the author himself, for several months, has been #1 in Amazon 'Average Custom Reviews'. 7 Secrets author, Chalky White, maintains that few skiers have a clear understanding of how to consistently work body and equipment as one efficient unit - one that will stand the testing rigours of advanced skiing. Chalky upholds that this situation can be changed if approached in a systematic way. This book's information offers skiers just that; a functional way of developing dominance over mind, body and equipment. The premise of the book is that skiers developing a rock like athletic stance can develop true balance - Balance means Power! First, powerful balance enables any skier to make basic, forceful turns - turns the vast majority can only dream about, but rarely achieve. Second, from that base, a skier can kick the gateway to advanced/expert skiing wide open. A bonus - exhilaration tends to replace the 'great inhibitor', fear. The 7 Secrets of Skiing system is powerful and, it works. Any skier with a strong work ethic will develop from the book's information. The 7 Secrets' back cover offers contact, website and blog information. Balance is power!

About the Author

Once described by one of his clients as, "One of the World's best ski instructors," Bernard 'Chalky' White, is originally from from the United Kingdom. Author of Chalky White's, The 7 Secrets of Skiing', he is a long established member of the esteemed Beaver Creek Ski School in Colorado. Chalky skied, for the the first ever time, at age 26, late for someone aspiring to be become a 'top drawer' teacher, fulfilling his dream of becoming a ski instructor at the ripe old age of 31. His first profession was that of Police Officer, a 'bobby', for nine years - this occupation nurtured Chalky's reading of diverse personalities. Becoming a ski 'bum' in the mid seventies, Chalky seemed to lack the natural athletic ability that others seemed to possess. Only dedication led him, in 1984, to the New Zealand Ski Instructors' Alliance full certification. From 1985 to 1993, based in Les Arcs, France, Chalky worked as an independent instructor where he operated high intensity ski courses; still his greatest professional passion (Chalky now runs his 7 Secrets ski courses, based on the book). In 1995, he became a health and fitness instructor. He qualified through both the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Council for Exercise. Through the years, in relation to skiing, Chalky has become an adept public speaker and presenter. In 1988, in support of the Back-Up spinal injuries charity, Chalky completed his greatest athletic achievement - As a beginner cross country summer training roller skier, he travelled more than one thousand miles distance between the two extremities of mainland Britain; a 38 day journey - he was the first to ever accomplish that particular feat. Chalky's sense of humour is somewhat incorrigible; another major reason why his popularity with skiing clients remains undiminished.
