Mary A. Hannon was born and raised in upstate New York, graduating from Marymount College in Tarrytown, New York, before relocating to southern California. She edited corporate newsletters in the banking and healthcare industries before founding WordWorks, a desktop publishing business focused on creating newsletters, programs and other printed materials.
