Charlie Bydel is an orphan. For the past thirteen years, Charlie has been living with the laziest couple one could know, The Barons. Mrs Barons hates children: she is nasty and cruel to Charlie, making him do all the work from washing the dishes to scrubbing the floor.
Poor Charlie is alone and miserable until he meets the white-haired 'mad scientist' who invites Charlie to the 'Hidden Kingdom' full of unknown dangers and secrets.
In the Hidden Kingdom, things are not what they seem. There is a sophisticated looking crowd of professors dressed in cloaks who seem to be agitated by something. There is a 'race against time' to find the 'Emphorium Stone' before it's too late...
