I am an ex-navy nuclear power engineer that rode on submarines for most of my career.
Nothing like being on one of those things to give you a perspective about what outer space is
like, though the environments are different, they are both deadly.
When I retired out, I went to work in the power industry where I applied my talents starting
up power plants all over the world, training the operators that now run them. I still stay up with
the industry and am constantly amazed by the number of changes that were forecast by the great
science fiction writers of old. From H.G. Wells and Jules Verne, through the writers of the twentieth
century. The visions that they put down on paper have inspired most of the modern inventions of today.
I hope there are others out there that will share their visions as well. We need them more than ever
in this world today.
If you swing through Ft. Collins, Colorado sometime, drop me a line or text. I won't answer a phone
call unless I know you, but if you leave a message, I'll return your call. Note the different phone number.
When engulf and devour of the cell phone companies (no names but it starts with 'V') ate mine
the darned thing quit working, but it makes a great internet radio!
