Mix-and-Match Stockings

One Pattern + Four Colors = Make It Your Own. From color combinations to embellishments, this stocking pattern is an empty palette for creating your own style. The stitch pattern is easy enough to memorize and creates its own rhythm. It's fun to use the mix-and-match concept to see how many different color combos/patterns can be generated from so little yarn. Four balls of yarn made three complete stockings, with yarn left over.

Flame-Stitch Stocking

You get a big design punch for little work from this Flame-Stitch pattern. It's easy to learn and works up in a snap. To keep colors from twisting, keep the color you are working on to the left [lefties, to the right], and keep the other colors to the right [left]. Use up leftover yarns and play with color combinations — we've shown you two colorways to get you started.
