Narrator Teri Schnaubelt does a great job of placing the listener right into this Christmas story. Olivia Berg is responsible for raising money for the town’s holiday fundraising event. Guy Hightower drastically reduces his annual donation, thereby leaving Olivia in a real bind. When Guy’s car breaks down, Olivia offers him not only a ride, but also a place to stay while his car is being fixed. Guy uses a fake name, so Olivia isn’t aware of his true identity. They get to know each other in a way that is fun and entertaining. What will happen when Olivia learns that her guest is really the despised Guy Hightower? Car trouble strands CFO Guy Hightower in small Pine River, Wash., where he encounters nonprofit entrepreneur Olivia “Livi” Berg.
